I worked closely with the client Liv, over her 21st birthday party and we had several whatsapp chats in the preceeding week. I listened to her Spotify playlist and downloaded a few tracks to mirror this as closely as I could.
In the end, like many events, I find the needs of the dancefloor and requests overtake any fixed playlist and occasionally get inspired by something that pops into my head as I work.
The night went extremely well and I have this review today:
I did get extremley enthusiastic which I feel to some extent was the change of pace over different styles of DJ events I've worked on recently.
It felt to me I was back spinning tracks uninterupted again, which is the sweet spot for DJ's.
Here are a few clips, that don't illustrate how full the dancefloor became, but at least you get to visualize the sound and see the venue.
