DJ NAFY B Announces Next Chapter with High-Energy Mainstage Performance Vision

POOLE, DORSET – July 2026

From Christmas parties in a shared house to more than 165 live performances across the UK, independent DJ DJ NAFY B (Nathan J. Steele) has announced the next stage of his career: the development of an original high-energy mainstage performance combining open-format DJing with live keyboard, synthesizer and electric violin.

Nathan's journey into professional DJing began in December 2023 after organising Christmas and New Year's Eve parties for housemates in Tamworth who had no plans to go out. Armed with nothing more than a Chromebook, a carefully curated music library and crossfade software, he discovered that creating unforgettable moments for people was far more rewarding than simply playing music.

The response from those first events inspired him to establish Party Animal DJ in February 2024.

Believing in the vision from the outset, Nathan invested heavily in professional equipment, developed his technical skills and began performing at cafés, community events, pubs and outdoor venues. Like many new DJs, the early years involved overcoming equipment failures, refining performance techniques and learning the importance of preparation through real-world experience.

Networking proved instrumental in accelerating his development. Guidance and opportunities from established DJs including Keith Kennet (House Is A Feeling), DJ Ability, Cal Clarke, Josh Hoos, Jo Wallace and Alan "DJ Titch" introduced Nathan to professional pub circuits, larger outdoor performances and industry events that helped shape his confidence behind the decks.

One particularly memorable outdoor performance demonstrated the importance of adaptability when a main speaker overheated during a techno set. By quickly reconfiguring the sound system and continuing the performance uninterrupted, the event became another valuable lesson in professionalism under pressure.

Over the following two years Nathan completed more than 165 performances, worked two seasons on radio, secured multiple Midlands residencies and performed through professional entertainment agencies, steadily building experience across weddings, pubs, festivals, community events and private functions.

In December 2025, Party Animal DJ evolved into DJ NAFY B, reflecting a move away from traditional mobile disco branding towards open-format, energy-driven performance and festival-style presentation.

Following his move to Poole in March 2026, Nathan has embraced a healthier lifestyle centred around fitness, nutrition and continual personal development. Alongside his DJ work, he is now undertaking an intensive programme of keyboard, synthesizer and electric violin training with the aim of incorporating live musicianship into future performances.

Rather than following current trends or relying heavily on nostalgia, DJ NAFY B's ambition is to create performances that feel cinematic in their progression—building from curiosity to excitement before culminating in powerful, emotionally uplifting finales.

"Music has always been about creating moments people remember. My goal isn't to copy what everyone else is doing. I want every set to feel like a journey that starts with intrigue and finishes with people looking at each other saying, 'Wow.'"

As development continues throughout 2026, DJ NAFY B is preparing a new generation of performance shows designed specifically for festival stages, large-scale public events and headline appearances.
